It is specifically designed for rapid cell disruption, cell lysis and tissue homogenization through bead beating. Typical applications include: tissue homogenization, DNA/RNA research and extraction, cell lysis, pesticide residue extraction, protein and metabolite extraction, biofuel research, and QuEChERS. Typical samples include: animal tissue, plant tissue, cell cultures, fruit, cannabis, seeds, yeast, and bacteria. A full range of pre-loaded sample vials makes setup quick and easy. User-friendly and easy to operate touchscreen can be tilted for better viewing. Controls allow you to program and save up to 500 protocols, ensuring repeatability. Protocols can be easily labeled, saved, recalled, and exported via USB. The unit is equipped with an administrative lockout (passcode) which allows you to restrict user access to specific protocols. The double-locking lid provides safe operation, the sound insulation the suspension system ensures quiet, vibration-free operation. A large observation window and interior LED lighting improves visibility and simplifies monitoring. The quick-release adjustable clamp makes loading and unloading vials or titer plates hassle-free. The vertically oscillating motion of the unit is designed to effectively disrupt cellular materials enabling the unit to be used to prepare sample tissue for extractions of nucleic acid, proteins, and other constituents by agitating the tissue, steel balls or beads and a lysis agent together in each well of the titer plate, tube or vial.
